Imagine a child falls while attempting to reach high up there. Coca-Cola would be in for a huge class action lawsuit coming their way. It is unethical to provide a vending machine that is not accessible at a ‘standard’ height thereby forcing people to use a human ladder or otherwise to reach and make their choice. I hope this is only an advertising campaign and not a reality, because it will certainly hurt somebody – especially children while attempting to reach a certain height just to get 2 for 1.
Also this kind of machine is utterly insensitive towards people with disabilities. At one end special provisions are made to make services accessible to everybody including people with disabilities and on wheelchairs. In this case, we have a vending machine twice the height and people are expected to celebrate its height or inaccessibility?
